General Description
History |
The Department of Business Administration was established in 1988 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Following the establishment of the Faculty of Business Administration in 1992, it was the first department in the faculty. It is a field that includes relevant concepts and applications of the disciplines of business, management and organization, production management, marketing, accounting and finance, commercial law, management information systems and quantitative methods. The Department of Business Administration offers the different infrastructure required to be successful in this field. It has an important and critical role in the rapidly changing business world. The Department of Business Administration focuses on developing its students' analytical skills, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving abilities. Experienced, qualified and dedicated academicians work in the department. |

Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
The Bachelors Degree is awarded to students who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum and have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (C.G.P.A.) of 2.00/4.00 and 240 ECTS. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The regulations for examination and grading are arranged in the fourth part of DEU Faculty of Business Educational and Examinational Regulations. The lowest grade to be successful in a credit course is DD. There are also grades defined for different situations in the grading system; Incomplete (I) accorded to students who, although otherwise successful, have failed to complete the required assignments for a course. A student receiving an incomplete grade for any course must make up for the deficiencies within 30 days after submitting the grades to Registrars Office. Otherwise, the grade I automatically becomes FF. Satisfactory (S) accorded to students who are successful in non-credit courses. Unsatisfactory (U) accorded to students who are unsuccessful in non-credit courses. Exempt ( E) is given to students who transfer to the program from another, after the equivanlence of courses they have taken previously is recommended by the dean/director and approved by the faculty board. This grade may provide an exemption for a particular course at the program. No Attendance (NA) is given upon failure to attend classes or complete practical or applied components of a course. (NA) configures in CGPA as FF. |
