Course Objective

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identify the components of the financial system in order to understand the interrelationships among them. (Level 1).
2   Explain the payment system pointing out the types and functions of money. (Level 2)
3   Recognize the factors that influence interest rates in order to illustrate interest rate behavior and determination. (Level 2).
4   llustrate the functioning of the financial institutions and markets in order to describe the financial environment. (Level 2).
5   Identify the structure and functioning of central banks in order to understand the policy implications of the Turkish Central Bank through a group study. (Level 2).
6   Interpret the monetary and fiscal policy tools in order to employ economic and financial indicators in decision making (Level 2).
