Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide necessary knowledge and information regarding Turkish economic system starting from late Ottoman period to modern Türkiye.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Describe the major events in economic history of modern Türkiye.
2   Identify the major actors and institutions of Turkish economy.
3   Recognize different macroeconomic and international economic policy approaches in the context of Turkish economic history.
4   Recognize developments in agricultural, industry and services sector in Turkish economy
5   Participate in class discussions

1. The learner will demostrate understanding of major events in Turkish economic history
2. The learner will demonstrate knowledge of basic actors and institutions in Turkish economy
3. The learner will demonstrate understanding of different macroeconomic and international trade policy tools in Turkish economy
4. The learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge on different sectors in Turkish economyinternational economics.
