General Description
History |
The main aim of Masters degree programme in human resources is to educate scholarship experts who have the ability to evaluate, interprete, apply the knowledge and create new knowledge through giving insights about scientific research method in macro and micro dimensions of human resources. Until 1998, Masters degree programme in Human Resources has continued under the name of Masters Degree Programme in Labour Relations Management at the Graduate School of Social Sciences. Since 1999, programme has been training as Masters Degree Programme in Human Resources. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
First Cycle (Bachelor's Degree) diploma; a minimum score of 55 from the Academic Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES) in the related field or GRE/GMAT equivalent; a minimum score of 50 from the Foreign Language Exams (UDS/KPDS/YDS/e-YDS/YOKDIL) or from equivalent foreign language proficiency exam approved by OSYM or a minimum score of 55 from DEU School of Foreign Languages English Proficiency Test. Transcript; a minimum score of 65 from the graduate school academic proficiency exam. |
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |

Profile of the Programme |
The objective of this master programme is to give required knowledge, competence, scientific research methods and culture to the candidates of scholarship expert who have the potential of academic studying with an insight of having a purpose of increasing the work and life satisfaction through orientating the human resources and providing social protection. There are three foreign language lessons in the curriculum. These lessons constitute 15 percent of the program. |

Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples |
In the private sector, graduates of the Master's Degree Programme in Human Resources can work as a manager and consultant in departments of human resources, industrial relations and social work. They also can be employed as collective bargaining specialist in trade unions and employer s unions. |

Evaluation and assessment methods for each course is defined in the the Course Description Form which is prepared by related faculty member / s and included in the information package. Exams and course success notes is subject to the relevant articles of the DEU Regulation on Graduate Education. |
Graduation Requirements |
Second Cycle (Master's Degree) Program with thesis is comprised of courses (at least 53 ECTS), a seminar (3 ECTS) and field study (4 ECTS) and thesis (60 ECTS), in total 120 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB/S/TP grades. |
