Students who made their registrations for the undergraduate and graduate degree programmes which have compulsory preparatory classes attend the Foreign Language Proficency Examination which is conducted by the School Of Foreign Languages at Dokuz Eylul University at the beginning of the academic year before starting their educations. Students who do not attend the proficiency examination on the examination day which is announced officially cannot attend the same examination on a different day. They are not given a second chance to attend the same examination and they are accepted unsuccessful. Students who get at least 65 points over 100 from the foreign proficiency examination are accepted as successful students and they start to study in the programmes which they made their registrations.
Students who get 60 points from the foreign language examination which is conducted by the Assessment Selection and Placement Center of the Higher Education Council or from the national or from the international foreign language examination which is accepted by the Assessment Selection and Placement Center of the Higher Education Council do not have to attend the foreign language proficiency which is conducted by the School Of Foreign Languages at Dokuz Eylul University . They are exempted from this examination and they are accepted to their programmes.
