General Description
History |
Department of Film Design Doctorate Degree established within the body of DEU Institute of Social Sciences in early 1980s. Then it incorporated to the Institute of Fine Arts in 2002. With the change of the programme title in 2009, it has been changed from Department of Cinema- TV Doctorate Degree to Department of Film Design Doctorate Degree. Both Cinema TV and Film Design Doctorate Degree graduates are over a total 80. |

Profile of the Programme |
All the courses given in Department of Film Design Doctorate Degree are selective and theoretical. The courses follow a cirriculum aiming at improving academical abilities of students. The most distinguishing aspects of the programme are the courses mainly on film sociology and aesthetics along with the courses on simulation theory. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The regulations for examination and grading are arranged in the fourth part of DEU Graduate School of Fine Arts Educational and Examinational Regulations. The lowest grade to be successful in a credit course is 75. Detailed assessment methods and criteria for courses are explained in syllabi. |
Graduation Requirements |
Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree) program is comprised of at least 7 courses, not being less than 21 national credits, pasing a gualifiying examination, preparing and defending a doctoral dissertation, in total 240 ECTS credits. |
