Course Objective


The aim of this course is to approach cinema by using criticism methods, such as feminist, Marxist, socialist, semiologic, historical to make up a theory and a form of creating a language, and to make analysis within the scope of sample films.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students learn solution methods.
2   They learn the historical development and importance of critics theory.
3   They also learn the qualities that a critic, the person who realizes critics, should have.
4   They understand the importance of the phenomenon in which a person should be knowledgeable and experienced related to the art to be criticized.
5   They learn the responsibility of the critic whose function is to be a bridge between the artist and the reader.
