General Description
History |
Post graduate education which was linked to Social Sciences Institute has been initiated in the following years of the establishment of Textile and Fashion Design Department in 1977-1978. Education has been carried out as Textile Design Major at the Fine Arts Institute since 2002. The major also was renamed as the Textile and Fashion Design Major since 2009-2010 Fall semester. |

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |

Profile of the Programme |
A curriculum is intended which primarily aims to contribute to development of the society in terms of art and culture and guides in preserving social and cultural values it gives importance to All the courses are optional but those in thesis and expertise . Applicants can major in Textile Design, Fashion Apparel Design and Fashion Accessory Design as well as the optional courses which can be enclosed to their diplomas. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The regulations for examination and grading are arranged in the fourth part of DEU Graduate School of Fine Arts Educational and Examinational Regulations. The lowest grade to be successful in a credit course is 75. Detailed assessment methods and criteria for courses are explained in syllabi. |
Graduation Requirements |
Master's degree; It is given to students who complete all the courses required from the curriculum, have a total of 120 ECTS, and achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 75/100. |
