Course Objective |
It is to develop integrative, creative and innovative approaches by using traditional paint, printing and finishing processes on different surfaces varying from denim to velvet fabrics with the newly developed techniques and methods. It is to produce original designs by incorporating the experiences gained in the application into the theoretical background obtained with the research. This course is going to enable the students to create value by making an integrative interpretation for the artistic textile works done with the traditional material and techniques with the help of new technique and material. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
In the course of learning, main resources regarding the subject matter are recommended for the students and it is expected from the students to research in-depthly about the technique that they wish to apply. The technique or techniques that they choose are interpreted in line with a concept and starting point. Innovative solutions and different opportunities of visual effect regarding the surface design are researched by studying on the technique applied in line with the experimental point of view along with the traditional or new materials. |

Further Notes About Assessment Methods |
Mastery of traditional paint and printing techniques, ability to synthesise the new materials and techniques with the traditional methods, attempt to explore the possibilities of the materials used and ability to solve the problems that are encountered by the students are significant. |

The dimension of research, attendance, adjustment of the project subject with the material and techniques that are chosen and workshops/atelier applications are significant. |
