| The objective of the Philosophy of Doctorate program in Tourism Management in Dokuz Eylül University is to educate scientists; who internalize scientific thinking and devoted to ethical principles; who can evaluate the developments in tourism sector from humanities and social sciences perspectives; who can interpret any topic in the field from the critical point of view; who can recommend strategic solutions at macro and micro levels to problems generated in tourism field; wo can conduct advanced research, discuss the results and is competent to make decisions. |

| Second Cycle (Master's Degree) diploma; a minimum Cum. GPA of 80/100 or 3/4; a minimum score of 60 from the nation-wide Academic Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES) in the related field or GRE/GMAT equivalent; a minimum score of 60 from the Foreign Language Exams (ÜDS/KPDS/YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL) or from equivalent foreign language proficiency exam approved by OSYM. Transcript; a minimum score of 75 from the graduate school academic proficiency exam. |

| Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | 
| Evaluation and assessment methods for each course is defined in the the Course Description Form which is prepared by related faculty member / s and included in the information package. Exams and course success notes is subject to the relevant articles of the DEU Regulation on Graduate Education. | 
| Graduation Requirements | 
| Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree) Program with thesis is comprised of courses (87 ECTS), a field study (3 ECTS) and thesis (150 ECTS), in total 240 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB/S/TP grades. |
