History |
Department of Sculpture continues its master of art and sufficiency in art programmes, previously commenced in Dokuz Eylül University Institution of Social Studies in the academic year of 1988 / 89, from 2002 on, at the Fine Arts Institute of the same university . |

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |

Profile of the Programme |
In the fields of sculpture, our Purpose is to raise individuals who have the theoric and artistic equipments within the requirements of era, who can participate in universal and national environments, who are aware of the problems of the country and the World and who are participator, creative and productive. Alongside, within the frame of lifelong learning-education principle, we are to raise individuals who can produce knowledge in their field of expertise and who are vacant to progression. Four faculty member, three research assistant and a technican fulfill their duties in the Sculpture Department. Within the Department, there are five units of Sculpture and a unit of drawing workshops whihc are prepared according to the variety of artistic productions models. Furthermore, our department organize some events like exhibitions, technical trips, symposiums and etc. during a school year. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The regulations for examination and grading are arranged in the fourth part of DEU Graduate School of Fine Arts Educational and Examinational Regulations. The lowest grade to be successful in a credit course is 75. Detailed assessment methods and criteria for courses are explained in syllabi. |

Second Cycle (Master's Degree) Programme education plan consists of compulsory and elective courses, a total of 120 ECTS must be completed for graduation. |
