Course Objective

Concepts of the award statue and medallion, introduced and positioned in the sculpture discipline. In the historical process examined, from the the design stage up the production process is followed from 1950 up today with the samples. Students prepares designs and models ready for production thus aims at an understanding of the topic in general terms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the concepts of Medallion and prize statue as a sculpture Sculpture issue
2   To be able to adapt and plan the stages of designing and production in line with his/her own artistic attitudes and preferences
3   To be able to develop unique ideas in terms of Medallion and prize statue and to be able to express them in written and verbal form in an efficient way
4   To comprehend the general technical and artistic terminology that will maintain the specializing process with respect to the issue.
5   To be able to make technical and artistic practices that will be able present unique Works of art in a suitable quality in this issue

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

By examining several examples available on the subject, the period, the attitude and the stylistic features of the artist-specific classification is defined

Taking into consider the current technological possibilities, production methods and it explores the effects of the work of art.

The applications (medal or award statuette) students, drawing attention to the interrelationships between material and subject-form design, production and delivery stages are diverted.

Students taking the course, when the finished project at the end of the period (or medallion award statuette) and the sketch of the model and so on. Applications are delivered to a project file.

In every period, prepare a paper and make presentations.

Students will ensure that they can use in all kinds of material of the project
