Course Objective

In this course translation practice and translators used as narrative tools in fiction (novels and films) will be analyzed thouroughly to understand the ways translation is discussed by different writers from different periods of time.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students learn to define narratice forms and techniques,
2   They are able to examine the narrative role of translator characters in literary texst and films,
3   They learn to question translation practice in fiction in relation to the social and cultural contexts.
4   They are able to interpret the translation related problems from the perspective fo authors,
5   They are able to make both individual presentations.
