Course Objective

To learn place and importance of Classical Chagatai Turkish among to historical periods of Turkish language.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   East Turkish and period of Chagatai. 2   To comprehend Chagatai Turkish period and features. 3   Formation and development of Chagatai Turkish and its place among other historical Turkic dialects. 4   To comprehend language properties of Chagatai Turkish. 5   Have information about literary men and their works belonging to the period of Chagatai Turkish. 6   Reading, transcription and translation studies and practises on original texts.
