Course Objective

The objective of this course is to introduce sign systems and the approaches of semiotics to sign systems, as well as to do semiotic analysis.

1   To use their knowledge of main approaches of semiotics;
2   To distinguish sign systems;
3   To analyze the application of signs;
4   To define semiotic structures,
5   To determine the presentation and functions of signs in arts.
