Course Objective

The aims of this course are: to identify and classify the physical, chemical,biological,ergonomic and psychosocial risk factors, to gain information about the legal regulations and protective equipment and preventive measures taken against the risk factors.

1 Definition and classification of physical risk factors
2 Definitions of noise, vibration, termal comfort and preventive measures taken against the physical risk factors
3 Definitions of lightening, ionizer and nonionizer rays, high low pressure and preventive measures taken against the physical risk factors
4 Definition and classification of biological risk factors
5 The legal regulations and protective equipment and preventive measures taken against the biological risk factors
6 Exposure limits and necessary controls against the biological risk factors
7 midterm exam
8 Definition and classification of psychosocial risk factors
9 Preventive measures taken against the psychosocial risk factors
10 Definition and classification of chemical risk factors
11 Preventive measures taken against the chemical risk factors
12 The legal regulations
13 Exposure limits and necessary controls against the chemical risk factors

It is calculated by taking 40% midterm exam and 60% of the final exam success rating.

Assessment Criteria

The students' level of comprehension of learning outcomes will be evaluated by measuring with midterm exam and final exam.
