Course Objective

The basic principles of the sculpture art are introduced by examining the copying works made from the moulages as well as natural and artificial object studies with clay, which is one of the basic shaping materials according to the periods and styles.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will be able to get to know clay, which is one of the basic shaping materials, and the shaping tools
2   will be able to practice the modelling process with all its stages
3   will be able to comprehend the three dimensional basic shaping principles
4   will be able to analyze the model he sees and express it with clay

Modeling works made in the workshop are monitored during the lesson and the students are guided

The students complete the works assigned to them in time and in full.
The applications with the materials will be made by the student himself/herself in the course workshop.
Each student will supply the abovementioned materials and equipment by himself/herself.
The students will photograph each of their works at completion and collect and present them in an archive containing the information related to their working
