Course Objective

In this course, process will be examined starting from dating back about 5000 years from now and until glass bead making technique begins with M. Ö. 75-50 years invention of blowing and applications will be held the glass-making techniques in this process (beads, jewelry, small objects and cast glass-mosaic; softening, melting, full cast).

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know glass design and production in the glass development history and have its technical information about historical glass development
2   To have sufficient technical knowledge and equipment transition from design to production
3   To use and apply technical hardwares of glass design needs correctly,
4   To Identify professional terminology and concepts
5   To transform information derived from the education specialized field to competence area

Öğretim üyesi öğrenciye; camın malzeme olarak keşfinden üflemenin bulunuşuna kadar geçen süreçte gerek bir materyal olarak gerekse bir sanat malzemesi olarak kullanımını aktarır. Bu esnada farklı uygulama örnekleri ve bu örneklerin uygulama amaç ve yöntemlerinden de bahsedilir. Proje doğrultusunda bu tekniklerin kullanımı ile gerek tekniğin araştırılmasına ve gerekse çağdaş sanat objeleri üretilmesine yönelik çalışmalar yönlendirilir.
