Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the structure, physiological roles and
regulation of extracellular matrix and to synthesize the knowledge on extracellular
matrix components and interactions related to human disease using clinical cases. In
addition, the principles of methods detecting extracellular matrix components will be
studied.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define the term hormone and the role of endocrine system in the regulation of

3   Understand hormone biosynhesis and regulation.
4   Know and identify hormone receptors and molecular signalling mechanism in their

6   Know the principle of methods for determining of hormones.
