Course Objective

There are fixed and animated calligraphy in religious and civil architecture. The content of this course is to develop the skills of making these techniques on plastered surfaces.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have knowledge about the Kalemiş Technique from past to present.
2   know about the tools and the methots of application
3   In religious and civil structures, to be able to carry out this practice professionally if offered by people.
4   be able to work professionally to make a mosaic painting, in case they receive an offer from offical or private institutions or individuals
5   be able to take part in restoration work of this technique.

2.A Project Presentation File is demanded,that is application oriented.
3.Students choose one of the topic offered,and they prepare an assigment during the semester.

3.Application performance during the semester is observed in order to evaluate the productivity concerning the class.

Course Policies and Rules

The course begins by performing the theoretical explanation of the relevant subject, visual drawing and personal application stages according to the lesson plan. Those who arrive after the start of the lesson are entitled to half an hour. Even if the next ones are taken to the lesson, they are considered as half lesson attendance. All attendance will be evaluated with the rate stated above. Towards the end of each lesson, the subject to be covered in the next lesson is presented to the student as a study-research subject.
