Course Objective

Students will be taught the techniques of sausage, plate, forming in wheel and free-forming methods.

Students are provided information about the clay used in the local pottery centers and clay production techniques.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Students will be given a mid-term and a final exam concerning the subjects given theoretical. The pass grade will be determined by the midterm and project, final exam grades.

Assessment Criteria

The midterm, the clay shape studies and the final exam will be evaluated out of 100; the 20% of the midterm, the 30% of the clay shape studies and the 30% of the final exam will determine the pass grade. The evaluation of the two exam questions will be given to the students.

Course Policies and Rules

Students who come from after starting time of the course, even taken to the course, will be evaluated as participant a half-time. At the end of each lecture topics will be covered in the next lesson and the students are offered as a subject of their studies. The course begins before the first presentation of the studies.
