Course Objective

The aim of the course is to enable the student to evaluate the manifestations of 20th century avant-garde art movements, manifestos and distinctive features of currents, pioneering artists, place and importance in art history, reflections in contemporary art and avant-garde art / photography relation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To be able to define avant-garde photography concept;
2   2. To be able to interpret avant-garde art works;
3   3. To be able to interpret the work of avant-garde photographers;
4   4. To know avant-garde photography techniques theoretically;
5   5. It is expected that avant-garde art movements will be able to evaluate the influence on contemporary art.
