Course Objective

To have information about the reasoning/reasoning process on language in a range from Plato to Chomsky in order to understand the philosophical perspectives that are the basis of Linguistic Theories.

Assessment Criteria

Learning outcomes 1- 6 will be evaluated through theory-oriented epistemological questions and possible answers on the evaluation of collective and individual readings.

80% class attendance is obligatory.
Participation to the mid-term, homework and final will be taken into consideration in evaluation.
Cheating and plagiarism attempts in assignments and exams will be evaluated with a 0 (zero) grade.
