Course Objective

To examine the approaches of Shihabeddin es-Suhreverdi, the founder of Ishraq philosophy, and his followers to ontology and epistemology within the framework of the concepts of light, Nur of Light, the emanation of light, the priority of the essence, the existence of a mental concept, the existence of the soul, the theory of vision and peace,
To analyze the views put forward in the tradition of israq philosophy on the possibility of reaching certain knowledge, the existence of the soul and life after death.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   In this course, the student learns the concepts of light, the light of light, the emanation of the light, the essence, the existence of a mental concept, the existence of the soul, the theory of vision and peace of knowledge.
2   What is the relationship between being-knowledge in the philosophy of Israk and being in the Peripatetic philosophy makes a comparison of the knowledge relationship.
3   It analyzes the views put forward in the tradition of israq philosophy on the possibility of reaching definitive knowledge, the existence of the soul and life after death
