Course Objective

Expanding the orchestra and chamber music repertoire and gaining the ability to conduct and prepare a chamber music ensemble.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   He recognizes the repertoire of orchestra and chamber music.
2   Theoretically knows the performance styles and moods in each musical periods of chamber music.
3   He can be performed the chamber music of each musical periods according to the styles and moods.
4   He can be analyzed the works of each periods and composers in terms of the techniques and harmonics.

Recomended or Required Reading

The duo, trio, quartet and orchestral works of the leading composers of Western Art Music form the bibliography of this course. Because periodical style and moods information about music is the main factor affecting the performance positively. It is the basis of this course to analyze the works of composers who have led the periodical style of Western Art Music history. But the main purpose is to improve the skill of playing a chamber music and instrumental group with the development of playing skill.
