Course Objective

To give information about the history and advancement, and functions of human resource management and to introduce the competency based human resource management approach.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines the basic terms about human resources management.
2   Discusses historical process which prolongs to competence based HRM starting with personnel management.
3   Analyses core functions of human resource management.
4   Recognizes instruments like job descriptions, competence maps, tests and evaluation forms.
5   Recognizes applications of human resource management in business world.
