Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide student with a good understanding of the design principles. It is aimed to teach weight reduction, rigidity, stresses, connection types, and other elements that affect design, the organization for design activities with the Ar-Ge and the concept of innovation

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will describe and categorize elements of design.
2   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to use the elements of desing to a new design.
3   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will analysis to alternatives of new designs for predefined works and competing products, rating them in terms of technic, technologic and ethnic.
4   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to justify to possible results of a predefined designs.
5   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to explain, criticize and judge to the example designs.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

There are two mid-term exams and it observe that each one of them are 20 percent, final exam is 50 percent and the assignment is 10 percent.
