Course Objective |
The course aims to give information about innovation and its importance in the building industry. It explains innovation, technological developments and entrepreneurship in the building industry. It covers definition of innovation, entrepreneurship and competitiveness, drivers of innovation, types of innovations, incremental and radical innovations, importance of R&D (Research and Development) at the firm and sector levels for creating innovations, innovations in the project, organization, sector levels and their applications in the building industry, challenges and success factors in technology and innovation management in the building industry, the usage of technological innovations in building design and construction firms and sector analysis, strategic approaches to using of technological innovations in building design and construction firms and sector analysis. Also, in this course it is given information about the latest innovation (eco-innovation) approaches to green building projects undertaken by building design and construction firms in the green building industry, importance of managing technology and innovation for the success of green building design and construction organizations. |
