Course Objective |
The aim of this course to discuss interdisciplinary relationship between architecture and various arts and to give an ability for analsying an art or design work by visual and phenomenologic viewpoints. So, in the course, how the sense of art was emerged from the prehistoric ages today through different periods and ecols will investigate and also contemporary art theories and their relation with architecture and also aesthetic dynamics will discuss in the context of cultural, political, economical and social background. Besides, this course is a background for the course of ARC 5020 Architectural Aesthetic. |

Assessment Criteria |
Exams covers there ading texts and presentations made during the theoretical part of the course. Assignments might be given in the light of group presentations and weekly discussions and prepared individually. In order to achieve the final exam, it is highly recommended to submitall assignments on time andregularly, and revişe them with the guidance of the instructor. Group presentations require a collaborative effort. It is the group's responsibility to ensure that each group member contributes to the group work equally. Student participation will depend on, the student's attendance, the quality of student's responses to the questions during the course and the student's contribution to create a positive learning environment. |
