Course Objective |
This course, concentrating mainly on the history of Turkish architecture, aims to examine the basic concepts and the terminology of Islamic culture and architecture, and to introduce the outlines of major developments and characteristic periods in the history of Turkish architecture within the contexts of social, economic and geographic backgrounds, institutions, settlements patterns, building typologies and construction techniques. |
