Course Objective |
The aim of the course is to introduce learners to the major events and themes in modern European history from the mid-19th century to the end of the Cold War. 19th century revolutions, unification in Germany and Italy, imperialism, World War I, the Bolshevik Revolution, the Great Depression, rise of fascism, World War II, Cold War and superpower rivalry, decolonization, and the collapse of communism are amongst the main issues that are to be dealt in this course. |
