Course Objective

Comprehending the period from the Prophet until the classification of narrations in view of history of hadith and introducing the students basic hadith sources and teaching the hadith methodology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The ability to know the location of hadith in religion and compare the relation between hadith and Qoran.
2   Comprehending the rising of hadith, and interpret the hadiths in according thih period.
3   Analyizing the location of hadiths in religion.
4   The ability to know the classical hadith methodology sources.
5   Analyizing the contemporary methods about reliability of hadith in academic way.

3 The reasons that improve the hadith
4 Fabricated narrations.
5 Ilmu'l-carh and tadîl.
6 The debates on reliability of hadiths.
7 Golden age of hadith: Kutubi Sitte period.
8 Midterm
9 Câmi: Buhârî, Müslim and Tirmizî
10 Sunen: Ebû Dâvud, Nesâî and Ibn Mâce
11 Classification of hadiths in according to sanad..
12 Musned, muttasıl, musalsal, mu`an`an and mu en en hadiths.
13 Mursel, munkatı`, mu`dal, mudelles hadiths.
14 The common phrase in sanad and matn of hadith.
