Course Objective

Objective of this course is to overview and discuss the models on the emergence and development of village-level societies who archaeologically appeared in the ancient Near East during the Epipaleolithic and Pre-Pottery Neolithic times. The course will focus on architecture, burial tradition and artfecats to discover those prehistoric villagers

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   define mentioned region and village settlements of that period.
2   define PPN cultures in Anatolia and their relation with other cultures
3   explain PPN cultures in Anatolia
4   analyze the relation between PPN A,B,C layers and the neolithic cultures in the Near East
5   define the production process in the Near East In PPN
