Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the students to the techniques and the literary terminology required to discuss and analyze the literary texts, such as stories, poems and plays, and to provide students with the ability to make textual analysis.

1   To have knowledge of the basic literary terminology and techniques
2   To analyze literary texts by using the terminology and the techniques studied in the class
3   To analyze character, narrator, plot, time and space in literary texts
4   To discuss the socio-cultural and political background in literary texts
