Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide secondary school mathematics student teachers understanding of how mathematics education at primary school level.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Know the aims and basic principles of primary school mathematics education.
2   Know the content of Primary School Mathematics Teaching Curriculum.
3   Dominate the mathematical understandings of elementary school students.
4   Know the mathematical difficulties and possible misconceptions of elementary school students and design lesson plans to eliminate misconceptions.
