Course Objective

To prepare students for language teaching to children of all ages, To enable students to consider children s linguistic development by preparing teaching materials and lessons.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students can summarize significant cognitive (neuro) biological developmental stages.
2   Students can describe and classify important stages of first language acquisition
3   Students can identify and describe central stages in second language acquisition
4   Students can summarize and compare national and international foreign language programmes
5   Students can design teaching materials for children of different ages and different language levels applying various teaching methods
