Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of social studies programs in terms of approach, content, learning areas, learning attainments, skills, values, learning-teaching processes and assessment-evaluation approaches, and gain skills to evaluate programs in an objective way.

1	To be able to explain the basic concepts of Social Studies programs
2	To be able to recognize the development, goals and approach of the social studies programs
3	To be able to explain the basic elements of social studies programs
4	To be able to comprehend the contents of social studies programs and learning-teaching processes
5	To be able to comprehend teacher competencies and the role of teachers in the implementation of programs
