Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to understand children s behaviors and factors influencing their behaviors and to guide them to develop positive behaviors.

1   Describe the importance of understanding children s behaviors and the factors that influence them.
2   Describe techniques that develop positive behaviorss
3   Prepare environments that is support positive behaviors.
4   Describe techniques that prevent inappropriate behaviors.

3 General principles of behavior guidance
4 Factors influencing classroom management
5 Environmental Issues: Setting up an environment that support learning
6 Planning for transitions between activities, Conducting successful circle time
7 Classroom rules and procedures
8 General Revision, Assessment, Mid-term exam
9 Building caring communities ; Learning to make decisions; Understanding others viewpoints; Learning to control oneself
10 Interpersonal problem-solving skills
11 Self regulation and regulations of emotions
12 Techniques for developing positive behaviors
13 Techniques for developing positive behaviors
14 Understanding parents discipline approach and developing partnership (comunication whith parents)
