Course Objective

Through the Technology-Supported Reflective Applications course, it is aimed to develop and improve the students both reflective thinking skills and reflective practice experience with the help Web 2.0 technologies. By running hands-on activities during the course, the students will raise awareness with regard to the potential benefits of these technologies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the key terms related to reflective practice,
2   Interpret the importance of reflective practice in terms of educational aspects.
3   Discuss about the reflective practice models and choose the most appropriate model for varied needs.
4   Plan technology-supported reflective practice activities for a certain learning need.
5   Conduct technology-supported reflective practice activities through recent Web 2.0 technologies

10 Knowledge organization and sharing tools: Social bookmarking and aggregrators.
11 Multimodal production tools: Digital storytelling and comic strip creation
12 Text-based tools: Note taking and discussion boards.
13 Image-based tools: Mindmapping and word clouds
14 Multimedia organizaton and sharing
15 Student presentations and course evaluations.
