Course Objective

The purposes of this course are to let the students -who will study on technology integration- gain a clear understanding about technology, innovation and change; model the behavioral cases that can be encountered during the integration of a new technology into the educational environments, and discuss the factors effecting the acceptance and use of a new technology. It is also aimed that the students will prepare a research proposal within the light of the information gained by the course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain recent technological innovations that are used in daily life.
2   Discuss the effects of the recent technological innovations on educational technology field.
3   Scrutinize the community-residing persons acceptance of recent technologies in educational technology field.
4   Choose and plan the most appropriate technology acceptance model according to the needs of the users and the properties of the technology.
5   Evaluate the users acceptance and future use behaviours in accordance with the chosen model.
6   Develop technology integration projects within the view of the information acquired the community-residing persons acceptance and use of technology levels.
