History |
Master in Music Technology is founded in 2009, as a part of the Department of Music, after the foundation of the bachelor s degree in Music Technology in 2008. The program involves courses in music technology as well as supporting courses in the art and theory of music. |

According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |

Profile of the Programme |
Masters in Music Technology program is primarily intended for students who hold a bachelor s degree in Music Technology and whose aim is to take action and responsibility with academic competence and specialty in the field of Music Technology. The courses in the program are designed specifically to provide the students with a strong foundation in music technology academically and practically. The students are provided with up to date theoretical knowledge with case scenarios and research projects as well as strong views about the practical abilities required for the research. There are 2 academic members in the department. A recording studio and electronics lab is also available for practical purposes. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The regulations for examination and grading are arranged in the fourth part of DEU Graduate School of Fine Arts Educational and Examinational Regulations. The lowest grade to be successful in a credit course is 75. Detailed assessment methods and criteria for courses are explained in syllabi. |
Graduation Requirements |
Second Cycle (Master's Degree) Programme with thesis is comprised of at least 7 courses, not being less than 21 national credits, a seminar and specialization courses and thesis studies, in total 120 ECTS credits. |
