General Description
History |
The objective of the Master of Sciences Non-Thesis (MSc) program in Tourism Management in Dokuz Eylül University is to educate individuals: who is able to understand, examine and evaluate current issues in holistic view using both micro and macro approaches in tourism sector on a global scale; who can conduct research in tourism field by attending to ethical principles and inform the results to stakeholders verbally and in writing; who is able to run and manage a business from the beginning; who is successful in human relations; who can apply theoretical knowledge into practice; who excel structure and functioning of tourism sector with all dimensions. Courses in the program are given in Turkish. Tourism Management Non-Thesis Master's Program is designed to provide intensive information on accommodation management and management, destination marketing and management, tourism economy, tourism policy and planning, financial management in tourism businesses, travel management and management. In addition, our students are offered courses that will provide additional information in areas such as meeting tourism and congress management, current problems and applications in tourism, electronic tourism and information systems in tourism. |

Evaluation and assessment methods for each course is defined in the the Course Description Form which is prepared by related faculty member / s and included in the information package. Exams and course success notes is subject to the relevant articles of the DEU Regulation on Graduate Education. |
Graduation Requirements |
Second Cycle (Masters Degree) Non-Thesis Program is comprised of courses (at least 86 ECTS), Term Project (4 ECTS), in total 90 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB/S/TP grades. |
