Master in Musicology is founded in the end of 1970's, as a part of the Department of Musicology. The program involves courses in musicology as well as supporting courses in the art and theory of music. |

According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |

Profile of the Programme |
Masters in Musicology program is primarily intended for students who hold a bachelor s degree in Musicology and whose aim is to take action and responsibility with academic competence and specialty in the field of Musicology. The courses in the program are designed specifically to provide the students with a strong foundation in musicology academically. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The regulations for examination and grading are arranged in the fourth part of DEU Graduate School of Fine Arts Educational and Examinational Regulations. The lowest grade to be successful in a credit course is 75. Detailed assessment methods and criteria for courses are explained in syllabi. |
Graduation Requirements |
Second Cycle (Master's Degree) Programme with thesis is comprised of at least 7 courses, not being less than 21 national credits, a seminar and specialization courses and thesis studies, in total 120 ECTS credits. |
