Course Objective

As being a dental assistant, to be able to classify, compare and evaluate the chemical and physiological structures and laboratory usage of the materials used in dental clinics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Storage of materials used in dentistry in the clinical setting
2   General properties of materials used in dentistry
3   Explains the chemical structure of impression material and its interaction with other materials
4   Manages the process of delivery of impression to the laboratory.
5   Prepares both bonding and base cement according to the guiding of dentist.
6   Interaction of dental materials according to the usage areas.
7   Know the usage of materials used in dentistry clinic
