Course Objective

To teach the methods and usage areas of the welding process in the field of structure and design

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the design of welding points
2   Mastering welding processes used during joining of parts
3   To estimate the fatigue life of the connections in welded joining processes and make the necessary evaluation.
4   To know which of the destructive and non-destructive methods can be used in the welded construction.
5   To be able to compare welding methods with other industrial methods.

1 Supply of suitable materials in construction processes
2 Principles of design suitable for the material
3 Stresses exposed to welded parts, principles of design suitable for distortion and stresses
4 Principles of welded design in accordance with the welding method, points to be considered while making the welding plan and plan
5 Principles of welded design suitable for the least corrosion hazard
6 Principles of welded design suitable for non-destructive testing
7 Midterm Exam
8 Saving building systems
9 Construction of steel frames and steel structures by welding
10 Personal Protective Equipment
11 Optimum cost in welded construction system
12 Welded Construction design examples
13 Welding of constructions such as steel roof, steel structure by welding
14 Strength calculations and problem solutions in welded parts
