Course Objective

This course's aim is to discuss the main concepts of cancer biology including but not limited to neoplastic transformation, invasion, metastasis, and to learn about the similarities and differences of different types of recurrent cancers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the initial molecular mechanisms associated with neoplastic transformation for different types of cancer.
2   To understand the consecutive steps involved in generation of a fully established malignancy.
3   To understand the molecular etiology of different types of malignancies.
4   To know the importance of genetic and epigenetic aberrations in tumorigenesis.
5   To know the popular perspectives of cancer diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.
