Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide detail information about the history of travel agencies and tour operators, their missions and current issues on the subject

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn the history of travel in order to be able to analyze the current situation of tourism activities.
2   Have the necessary information about distribution system and channels to be able to comprehend travel distribution systems.
3   Learn the basic functions of travel agencies to be able to organize travel activities.
4   Learn the factors affecting travel agencies to be able to make future projections.
5   Have necessary information about tour types, tour cost and tour operation to be able to prepare a tour programme.
