Course Objective

The major objectives of this course are to provide the fundamental knowledge of electromagnetism, to develop solid and systematic problem solving skills, and to lay the foundations for further studies in natural sciences

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to identify the electrical charges, electrostatic forces and the law governing these forces
2   Being able to describe the basic concepts of magnetism
3   . Being able to calculate the electric field and magnetic field of a given charge and current distribution
4   Being able to explain the electrical and magnetic properties of materials
5   Being able to compute the circuital parameters of elements in basic electrical circuits
6   Being able to understand the importance of electricity in biological processes
