Course Objective

The historical development of Marine biology; Determination of Oceanography of the data; Position and depth determination; Bottom sediment ways of inclusion; Examination of the physical properties of water; The chemical properties of water; Taking biological samples; marine environment classification; Marine ecological factors; The effects of dissolved gases, and organisms; Effects of nutrients and organisms in the seas, Food and nutrition factor, pelagic and benthic organisms; Applied Oceanography topics in biology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn bioecological features of marine flora and fauna
2   Water resources should be kept clean, food is a source of coupling
3   To learn wealth of aquatic life and ecosystems
4   The effects of global warming and pollution on aquatic life are expected to understand and contribute to prevent this situation
5   To ensure the establishment of the connection between sea, ocean, and environmental conditions

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned and presented in a discussion session. In some weeks of the course, results of the homework given previously are discussed.
