Course Objective

To give information on general characteristics of mammals that comprise one of the biggest group of vertebrates, to give information about diversity of mammals that represented with 170 species in our country and about 5.000 species at all over the world, to provide learning of common mammals, to give information at importance of mammals in ecosystem, encourage the students to mammalogical studies, to provide generating awareness of the students about conservation studies of mammals.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students who completed the classes with success, knows general characteristics of mammals,
2   Knows, general systematic of mammals
3   Richness of mammalian fauna of Turkey and important lands for mammals
4   Learns the category of Mammals in Animalia regnum and relationships of mammals with other vertebrate groups
5   Can work at mammalian department of a biological diversity study as researcher
